Exam #4 Part 1

During the Russian Revolution there were alot of people who thought differently about where the money, land and everything else should be. some thought it should be evenly spread between all. Thats what the peasants thought. They thought that the land should belong to the people that work, most thought that the workers should get the benifits. During the war and anyother time they were the hardest workers, and they also worked more longer hours than most. With working that much and not even having any money to show for it, there would be alot of changes with the enonomic conditions. How the French Revolution enonomic conditions and the Russian Revolution compare is by how there are more social and political ups and downs than there were economic in the french revolution.

Rasputin was one of the bigger leaders in the Russian Revolution. He was concitered miracle worker because he could help people when doctors couldn't. He was a trusted friend to most. Althought people thought that he was having a affair with the royal wife. Thats why not alot of people liked him they always thought he was having an affair with the wife of the king. George Danton was a leader in the french revolation in a different way than Rasputin was. Geogrge was a president of France. He was the biggest force in the revolution for France.

Both the French and the Russian won the wars. There outcomes were the same, both sides won thats why it was called a revoluation. In the end of the Russian Revolution there wasn't any difference with the way that the land was and where the money would go. The money and land still belonged to the people with the highest power and the ones that were higher class. After the French Revolution the ending was still that the ruler was Danton and he still powered over eveyone.

Nickel and Dimed

In this non-fiction book called Nickel and Dimed by Barbabra Ehrenreich, Barbabra tries to hold a minimum wadge job. She tries to show how people can't make it on minimum wage. Through out the book she has different jobs that only pay wages around $6 or $7 an hour sometimes even less money then that at certian places she worked. Barbabra Ehrenreich is a writer for the New York Times she kind of seems like shes better than any place that she works at. Being happy with what you have is something that Barbabra Ehrenreich doesn't really have. The theme of the book seems to have soemthing to do with, be happy with what you have.

During the story Barbara was trying to show that you couldn't live on minimum wage. But all she really showed was that you could survive on minimum wadge but the major thing was, you couldn't have any mishaps. you couldn't have any kids that got sick because you can't afford to take them to the hospital. During the book they talked about how unitll April of 1998 there was no right that let employees have bathroom breaks. Also in 1996 the number of people holding two or more jobs was around 7.8 million, or 6.2 of the workforce. While in Maine Barbara found out that she was going to have to pay around $880 for rent in cape cod.

While Barbara was in Maine she worked at a hotel as a maid. Maids wages don't even cover the money they have to play social security taxes, green cards, the money they have to pay for backaches and child problems. The problem with the wage that they give to the fast food, hotel, and other companies employees are very low. Although Barbara does this work and tries to be a minimum wage worker she doesn't. She still acts like she has alot of money and still uses it if she gets in trouble. Barbara said that if she got in trouble and didn't have enough to pay for rent she would just use other money not eraned from her work. I don't think that she didn't acomish working and living in the style of a minimum wage person.

With the theme of be happy with what you have i think Barbara Ehrenreich it that. She wouldn't be able to live with the life style of minimum wage. She showed that people can live of minimum wage if nothing goes wrong. I don't really think she showed much else, she wasn't really living like life of a minimum wage. Barbara isn't someone who would be able to live this way.

Exam #2

The Columbian Exchange transformed the world in a more radical (Favoring or effecting fundamental or revolutionary changes in current practices) way than any other development in world history. One significant effect of this process (a systematic series of actions directed to some end) was the establishment of the Triangle Trade. While many factors were a part of the Triangle Trade, the rapid growth in both supply and demand for new commodities was the largest motivating element. This time period may be best associated (to connect or bring into relation, as thought, feeling, memory) with economic developments, but it is impossible to analyze(to examine critically, so as to bring out the essential elements) this period without considering the intense social impact that the Triangle Trade had on those involved. In truth, a full understanding can only be gained by appreciating (to be grateful or thankful ) how economic and social factors (One that actively contributes to an accomplishment, result, or process) impact each other in history.

* The columbianExchange is the exchange of European products to the Americas and vice-versa. The Columbian Exchange was one of the most significant results of the Age of Exploration and the First Global Age. The Columbian Exchange transformed the world in effecting changes more then anyother develoment in world history. One Significant effect of the systematic series of actions was the Triangle trade. The Triangle Trade had profits made from the global trade of sugar, tea and coffee were the major driving force behind the triangular trade. There was a very big growth in the amount of sugar, tea and coffee people wanted and the amount that they could make. These products were the largest moved at that time. It was very hard to look over this period of time without consitering the impact it had on the Triangle trade. You could only be greatful for how the economic and social process impacted each other in history.

African Slave Trades

Slave trades in Africa have excited for thousands of year, among white people who have black slaves. This was mosly with the Europeans coming to Africa and taking people against their will. They were taking to Europe to be servants for all of the rich people. Although they were taking slaves against there will the slave trade was well established before the Europeans arrived. Many people were domestic slaves, working in rich households and most women were used as sex slaves. Seven million African were sold into slavery on the coast of the Indian Ocean, the Middle East and North Africa. There were Tewle million African slaves taken to America, and around five million Africas were taken across the Sahara and East Africa into slavery in other parts of the world. Most of these slaves were traded for more important things that people needed. Over One period of time between 10 and 28 million slaves were sent over seas from Africa. Tippu Tip was one of the well known slave traders in the Africa area. He was the gradson of an enslaved African. Tippu Tip and his men took African people from their homes to sell them. From an area that stretched over one thousand miles from inland to the coast.
Most preferred to trade on the West coast of Africa, as this was cheaper and more convenient. After the ships stoped carrying out their trade in West Africa, the traders began to find it more and more difficult to trade and ship slaves there. So they started to travel to down around Cape of Good Hope to buy and take more slaves to sell. But after the British Navy defeated the slave trade in the Atlantic, the East African slave trade increased.

There was alot of money along with the slave trades. Most slave traders used the money to buy raw materials such as sugar, cotton, coffee, metals, and tobacco which were shipped back and sold in Europe. Slavery created and then relied on a large support network of shipping services, ports, and finance and insurance companies. New industries were created, processing the raw materials harvested or extracted by slaves. The slave trade contributed significantly to the commercial and industrial revolutions. Cities such as Liverpool and Amsterdam grew wealthy as a result of the trade in humans.

this image shows that there are people being killed, there just standing on top of the people that are dead that probably means that they don't even care who they were. Theres someone holding the french flag so that means they won. they all seem like theyve been killing more then theis people cause it doesnt seem to bother them when theres dead people right infront of them . it looks like theres still mobs of people aroud. theres a different flag in the back ground. so there people killing the lower class people that have the red flag.

*all of theis images show that there was alot of fighting between the lower class and the other classes in the french revelotion. there was the killing of people who werent religous with the guiliaten that shows that there was alot of conflict between people. they thought that if they killed somone that they thought werent being relgous to the church they might get ahead of someother people.
in this picture there are people dead, from some kind of explosion, theres people killing each other and everything else is falling down. There was probably an explosion that killed a lot of people. this would show that its right in the middle of the french Revolution because its seems like theres a lot of people still being killed. this was probably a idea to blow something up from one of the higher up people. theres a man on a horse hes probably one of the people in charge of this action. all of the people dead show that there was planed killing on this attack. theres no flag of either side of this battle so i cant tell who won.

There is a lot of people in this picture around they look like theres a lot of conflict, which shows that not everyone wanted there to be killing. Also in the back of the picture there is the guillotine which is the thing that cut peoples heads off. it came towards the beggin of the french reveloition. That's probably why theres a lot of people around. They might be just about to kill someone. theres a lot of conflict because of the killing. theres guys on horses they probably are the ones in charge of the killing, there the people that are making this person killed. There probably the highest of authority.
