Dear Mom and Dad,
Things are going pretty good, we are camped out at Valley Forge for this winter. Its very tight sleeping spaces around here, for every 12 men there is a very small about 15 foot long 15 foot wide hut with one fire place. We are about 2 feet below ground so our hut has a dirt floor. There not very nice, you can feel the draft at night the cold wind. Its getting really hard to get around down here. The farmers try and hid there horses so that we can't use them to get supplies. There isn't much to eat, so we eat things like firecake which is just water and flower. I can't wait to come home to get some homemade cooking from mom. This is nothing like our farm house at home. Things are so much different than I thought they would be in the army. Although I'm hoping that the weather will start picking up the temperature has been in the 20s and 30s this past week. Spring is coming soon and I can wait for the warm weather.
Washington has been showing us the way these past couple weeks, hes really stepped up and shown us how to get things done around here. Hes the only one getting us through at this point. He has been really boosting everyone sprits around camp, telling us that we can take this and its only going to get better with more wins to come. Also that this is going to be over very soon. I think that hes trying to make everything look better right now because theres a re-enlistment coming up in the spring for the army. Hes saying that the things we are going through right now will be worth it after this is all said and done. But with all of this courage he is showing and pride for the army its hard not to believe what hes telling us. I mean things are not looking the best but hes doing his best to make everything better around here.
I have been doing alot of thinking lately about this spring and the re-enlistment. Although i have learned alot from the Army, another thing i have learned that its something that i went into with all the wrong reasons. I came in thinking that i was going to see the country, but after this past 6 months i have seen as much of the country as i need to see. I'm really glad that i have been in the Army for this long but, I'm really looking forward to coming home to somewhere its warm and safe. I think that things here are only going to get worse, cause of the many battle we have lost. I think that if i continue to stay in the army that this will be the death of me. I'm ready to come home and ready to see my family again.

Founders Project
Roger Sherman
Roger Sherman was born April 19, 1721 in Newton Massachusetts. Hes education didn't extend past grammar school. He wasn't always a powerful Political lawyer. He grew up in Milford, Connecticut, which is the state he ended up representing after becoming a politician. He quickly introduced himself in civil and religious affairs, becoming one of the towns leading citizens and than town clerk of New Milford, Connecticut. He also was a Representative and Senator in the new republic. Not long after that he became country Surveyor. He was admitted to the Bar of Litchfield, Connecticut in 1754 and he was also chosen to represent New Milford in the Connecticut General Assembly from 1755 to 1761. Than served as the Upper House of the Connecticut Gernal Assembly until 1785. There were many things that Roger Sherman accomplished without even a high school diploma, including, being appointed justice of the peace in 1762, judge of the court of common pleas in 1765, and also justice of the Superior Court Of Connecticut from 1766 to 1789 and that's would be when he left to become part of the United States Congress.
When the Revolutionary War started in 1775 Sherman was appointed to the Connecticut Governor's Council of Safety and also commissary to the Connecticut Troops. He was also Elected to the Continental Congress in 1774 and served very actively throughout the War. He Served on the Committee of Five that drafted the Declaration Of Independence. Roger Sherman was the only person to sign all four great state papers of the U.S, Which were The Articles of Association, The Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution. Other people who signed the Constitution with Roger Sherman were: From Connecticut William Samuel, Georgia William Few, Pennsylvania Benjamin Franklin, Delaware George Read, Maryland , Maryland Daniel Carroll, Massachusetts Rufus King , New Hampshire John Landon, New Jersey William Livingston, New York Alexander Hamilton, North Carolina William Blount, South Carolina Charles Pinckney, Rhode Island there was no one sent to Constitutional Convention, Virgina James Madison.
Roger Sherman participated in the Revolutionary War the way he did was because of the way that he was brought up. His Family was deeply into the policial Field. He was tough many things leading up to the Revolutionary War that lead him to be so successful during the War. Many things in his younger life prepaid him for his future job that he held as signing the Four Major drafts. Roger Sherman was a major player in the Revolutionary War, he did alot of things to make the Americans over come England. He wasn't one of the front line people but he showed most of his skills in the background. He took care of alot of the talking and taking care of alot of things. Roger Sherman was a man that got things done. There are many things that this man did that shows his skills that helps the Americans take down England. This was all because of his hatred for England that got alot of these things done.
Roger Sherman showed everything he had, drafting the four major event of the United States. To be a man that drafts all four and signs all of them is a very great historical moment. He deserves all of the historical recognition that he gets. All of the things that he did during this Revolutionary War proves that he deserves all of the historical recognition that he can get. People of his time probably didn't realize that he was a major play in the Revolutionary War but looking back into it and re-reading through things that he did, with the little education that he had was impressive.

Animal Farm
Afrer reading this book Animal Farm by George Orwell most people would realize alot of things about different belifs. Lots of things in the book like different events show different events in history. Like when the animals from the farm defeat the farmer showing Animalism, they teamed up and formulate main principles of what they needed to do to over take the farmer. Also after all the amimals are ruled by Napoleon and the Animalism, they were educated of the principles of Animalism. Napoleon takes over defets his partner and takes it all for himself, just like everyother leader in history of any country. They always are looking out for themself before anyone else. Showing this theme throughout history would be showing how there are alot of things that are always happening. This is one of the big thing that are still happening, over ruling and over taking of your own people.

At the meeting to vote on whether to take up the project, Snowball gives speech. Napoleon gives only a brief retort, then makes a noise, and nine attack dogs, the puppies that he had been training burst into the barn and chase Snowball from the farm. Than he became leader of the Animal Farm and declares that there will be no more meetings. From that point on the pigs alone will make all of the decisions. All for the good of every animal. It shows how Napoleon was trying to take over, rule everyone and take out his partner in the meantime.

Essay #1 Boston massacre/ closing statement
The Boston Massacre was the killing of five colonists by British soldiers on March 5, 1770. A bad situation due to British military in Boston got heated and turned into a brawls between soldiers and citizens of the town, and than turned into troops shooting their guns after being attacked by a crowd. Three citizens were killed at the scene of the shooting, and two died after the fact.
The crowd of citizens are to blame for the shooting, and the hole fact of the Boston Massacre. It was seen by many people that the soldiers were attacked before the shooting, by snowballs and also hit by sticks. This was all before firing there guns. Showing that Preston didn't tell his men to fire there were witnesses telling that there was another officer standing behind Preston who said fire.
The consequence for the people involved would be hard to hand out, there were to many stories to face the fact of who did say fire and who's fault it really was. Due to the fact that there were so many witnesses and so many stories its hard to tell who was responsible for the firing and who wasn't. Although if the soldiers weren't at fault, as showing more of the witnesses show this, the crowd show be punished. This means that everyone beside the soldiers that were involved in this would be at fault.

The 13 colonies have the right to rebel because British government tried to rule the colonies. The British demanded that the colonists pay taxes on such things as sugar and tea that the colonists bought from England. The colonists refused to pay the taxes, because they did not have a voice in approving the laws that created the taxes. They were not represented in the British government.
One big reason for the colonies to rebel against the British would be that they were taxing them. This was deported things that the colonies didn't have control over taxing. Or even the price of the tax. Another reason would be that the British thought that they could just have there government and over rule everything that had to do with the colonies. If they didn't have a voice to tell what they wanted why would they pay tax on something that is already theres...
There wouldn't be much of a future for America as of this time period. With the British ruling everyone and everything around, how could their be anything to look forward to like America. The British are in complete control at this point.

I. Introduction
A. The founding of English colonies in modern Massachusetts combined a strange mix of idealism and violence.
B. Miles Standish contributed important protection to the early colonies by using violence.
C. Benjamin Church provided vital leadership to protect the colonies during King Philip's War.
D. Despite all of this violence, the colonies were also founded on religious idealism.
E. It is important to understand the full history of these areas because this is what Americans generally consider to be our nation's beginning.
II. First Major Point
A. Miles Standish contributed important protection to the early colonies by using violence.
B. Standish and his men where after Corbitant because he thought he was they were trying to fight agaisnt the pisggrams. He ended up surrounding the wigwams and scaring the indains so bad that they were trying to get out anyway they could, they were trying to run out of the walls.
C. He killed Wicawaset when they invited him to dinner and he stabed him with his own knife.
D. Threatens mortan that he will kill him if he doesnt get rid of the colony. and the pilgrams dont agree with this.
E. all of this shows how Mile Standish was violient with eveything he did towards the indains. It provies how he was trying to protect the pilgrams. He also used violence to start the colony.
III. Second Major Point
A. Benjamin Church provided vital leadership to protect the colonies during King Philip's War.
B. Benjamin Church captured 60 indians with just 6 men to protect the colony.
C. he also saved his 20 men and got them across the river, when there was around 300 men trying to kill them.
D. Benjamin tries and puts phlip on a post. he kills king phlip in the end, because he was a threat to the colony that he was trying to build.
E. Benjamin Church showed his leadership quilties when he takes over, and shows his men that he will protect them.
IV. Third Major Point
A. Despite all of this violence, the colonies were also founded on religious idealism.
B. They all thought that it was right for everyone to be a puritan, they wanted everyone to be a puritan.
C. they came to this new place because they wanted religous freedom for themselves.
D. they wanted everyone to be able to read and write because they wanted everyone to read
the bible. And they all founded the school of Harvard, which started out as just a bible school.
E. His leadership helped protect the colonies and made them posibile for them to contiue to be safe.

Miles Standish and his men where after Corbitant because he thought he was trying to fight agaisnt his men which were the pisggrams. He ended up surrounding the wigwams and scaring the indains so bad that they were trying to get out anyway they could, they were trying to run out of the walls. Miles Standish also killed Wicawaset when they invited him to dinner and he stabed him with his own knife. This happened because Wicawaset was trying to make friends with him, because he thought that it would make it so they wouldn't fight him. All of these actions show how Mile Standish was violient with eveything he did towards the indains. He never wanted them anywhere the pilgrams. It provies how he was trying to protect the pilgrams. He also used violence to start the colony.
Benjamin Church provided vital leadership to protect the colonies during King Philip's War. Benjamin Church captured 60 indians with just 6 men to protect the colony. He also saved his 20 men and got them across the river, when there was around 300 men trying to kill them. Benjamin tries and puts King Philip on a post trying to kill him. He ends up killing King Philip in the end, because he was a threat to the colony. The colony that Benjamin Church was trying to build. He didn't want anyone getting in the way of building his colony. Benjamin Church showed his leadership quilties when he takes over, and shows his men that he will protect them. And also taking everything in his own has instead of putting things on other people to do. This is because he wants to keep his colony and not have any of this men killed.
Despite all of this violence, the colonies were also founded on religious idealism. They all thought that it was right for everyone to be a puritan, they wanted everyone to be a puritan. They came to this new place because they wanted religous freedom for themselves, and they also thought that no one else would want to be anyother type of religium than they did. All of them wanted everyone to be able to read and write. This was because everyone was had to read the bible. They thought everything should be religious. Also they all founded the school of Harvard, which started out as just a bible school. Benjamin Churchs leadership helped protect the colonies and made them posibile for them to contiue to be safe.

Final Essay
During the Russian Revolution there were alot of people who thought differently about where the money, land and everything else should be. some thought it should be evenly spread between all. That's what the peasants thought. They thought that the land should belong to the people that work, most thought that the workers should get the benefits. During the war and another time they were the hardest workers, and they also worked more longer hours than most. With working that much and not even having any money to show for it, there would be alot of changes with the economic conditions. How the French Revolution economic conditions and the Russian Revolution compare is by how there are more social and political ups and downs than there were economic in the french revolution.Rasputin was one of the bigger leaders in the Russian Revolution. He was considered miracle worker because he could help people when doctors couldn't. He was a trusted friend to most. Al though people thought that he was having a affair with the royal wife. That's why not alot of people liked him they always thought he was having an affair with the wife of the king. George Danton was a leader in the french Revelation in a different way than Rasputin was. Geogrge was a president of France. He was the biggest force in the revolution for France.Both the French and the Russian won the wars. There outcomes were the same, both sides won that's why it was called a revolution. In the end of the Russian Revolution there wasn't any difference with the way that the land was and where the money would go. The money and land still belonged to the people with the highest power and the ones that were higher class. After the French Revolution the ending was still that the ruler was Danton and he still powered over everyone.
